Mon District - Population 2011-2024

An official Census 2011 detail of Mon, a district of Nagaland has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Nagaland. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Mon District of Nagaland.

In 2011, Mon had population of 250,260 of which male and female were 131,753 and 118,507 respectively. In 2001 census, Mon had a population of 138,753 of which males were 121,899 and remaining 260,652 were females. Mon District population constituted 12.65 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Mon District was at 13.25 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 80.36 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Mon District recorded increase of 74.12 percent to its population compared to 1991.


Mon Literacy Rate

Average literacy rate of Mon in 2011 were 56.99 compared to 56.99 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 60.94 and 52.58 respectively. Mon Child Population

In census enumeration, data regarding child under 0-6 age were also collected for all districts including Mon. There were total 40,342 children under age of 0-6 against 0 of 2001 census. Of total 40,342 male and female were 21,099 and 19,243 respectively. Child Sex Ratio as per census 2011 was 912 compared to 973 of census 2001.
