In 2011, Baksa had population of 950,075 of which male and female were 481,330 and 468,745 respectively. In 2001 census, Baksa had a population of 857,947 of which males were 438,345 and remaining 419,602 were females. Baksa District population constituted 3.04 percent of total Maharashtra population.
