Chirang District - Population 2011-2024

An official Census 2011 detail of Chirang, a district of Assam has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Assam. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Chirang District of Assam.

In 2011, Chirang had population of 482,162 of which male and female were 244,860 and 237,302 respectively. In 2001 census, Chirang had a population of 433,061 of which males were 222,364 and remaining 210,697 were females. Chirang District population constituted 1.55 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Chirang District was at 1.62 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 11.34 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Chirang District recorded increase of -0.08 percent to its population compared to 1991.


Chirang Literacy Rate

Chirang Child Population

In census enumeration, data regarding child under 0-6 age were also collected for all districts including Chirang. There were total 73,215 children under age of 0-6 against 79,044 of 2001 census.
