In 2011, Anand had population of 2,092,745 of which male and female were 1,087,224 and 1,005,521 respectively. In 2001 census, Anand had a population of 1,856,872 of which males were 972,000 and remaining 884,872 were females. Anand District population constituted 3.46 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Anand District was at 3.66 percent of Maharashtra population.
