In 2011, Hisar had population of 1,743,931 of which male and female were 931,562 and 812,369 respectively. In 2001 census, Hisar had a population of 1,537,117 of which males were 830,520 and remaining 706,597 were females. Hisar District population constituted 6.88 percent of total Maharashtra population.
