An official Census 2011 detail of Mysore, a district of Karnataka has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Karnataka. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Mysore District of Karnataka.

In 2011, Mysore had population of 3,001,127 of which male and female were 1,511,600 and 1,489,527 respectively. In 2001 census, Mysore had a population of 2,641,027 of which males were 1,344,670 and remaining 1,296,357 were females. Mysore District population constituted 4.91 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Mysore District was at 5.00 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 13.63 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Mysore District recorded increase of 15.75 percent to its population compared to 1991.


Mysore Literacy Rate

Average literacy rate of Mysore in 2011 were 72.79 compared to 72.79 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 78.46 and 67.06 respectively. Mysore Child Population
