In 2011, Jalna had population of 1,959,046 of which male and female were 1,011,473 and 947,573 respectively. In 2001 census, Jalna had a population of 1,612,980 of which males were 826,903 and remaining 786,077 were females. Jalna District population constituted 1.74 percent of total Maharashtra population.
