An official Census 2011 detail of Senapati, a district of Manipur has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Manipur. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Senapati District of Manipur.

In 2011, Senapati had population of 479,148 of which male and female were 247,323 and 231,825 respectively. In 2001 census, Senapati had a population of 283,621 of which males were 146,548 and remaining 137,073 were females. Senapati District population constituted 16.78 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Senapati District was at 12.36 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 68.94 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Senapati District recorded increase of 36.09 percent to its population compared to 1991.
