Champhai District - Population 2011-2024

An official Census 2011 detail of Champhai, a district of Mizoram has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Mizoram. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Champhai District of Mizoram.

In 2011, Champhai had population of 125,745 of which male and female were 63,388 and 62,357 respectively. In 2001 census, Champhai had a population of 108,392 of which males were 55,756 and remaining 52,636 were females. Champhai District population constituted 11.46 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Champhai District was at 12.20 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 16.01 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Champhai District recorded increase of 29.84 percent to its population compared to 1991.


Champhai Literacy Rate

Average literacy rate of Champhai in 2011 were 95.91 compared to 95.91 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 97.21 and 94.59 respectively.
