In 2011, Ganjam had population of 3,529,031 of which male and female were 1,779,218 and 1,749,813 respectively. In 2001 census, Ganjam had a population of 3,160,635 of which males
were 1,581,986 and remaining 1,578,649 were females. Ganjam District population
constituted 8.41 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Ganjam District was at 8.59
percent of Maharashtra population.
