An official Census 2011 detail of Moga, a district of Punjab has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Punjab. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Moga District of Punjab.

In 2011, Moga had population of 995,746 of which male and female were 525,920 and 469,826 respectively. In 2001 census, Moga had a population of 894,793 of which males were 474,104 and remaining 420,689 were females. Moga District population constituted 3.59 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Moga District was at 3.67 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 11.28 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Moga District recorded increase of 15.03 percent to its population compared to 1991.
