has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Jammu and Kashmir. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Leh District of Jammu and Kashmir.
In 2011, Leh had population of 133,487 of which male and female were 78,971 and 54,516 respectively. In 2001 census, Leh had a population of 117,232 of which males
were 64,306 and remaining 52,926 were females. Leh District population
constituted 1.06 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Leh District was at 1.16
percent of Maharashtra population.
There was change of 13.87 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Leh District recorded increase
of 30.15 percent to its population compared to 1991.
Leh Literacy Rate
