In 2011, Jamnagar had population of 2,160,119 of which male and female were 1,114,192 and 1,045,927 respectively. In 2001 census, Jamnagar had a population of 1,904,278 of which males were 981,320 and remaining 922,958 were females. Jamnagar District population constituted 3.57 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Jamnagar District was at 3.76 percent of Maharashtra population.
