An official Census 2011 detail of Hisar, a district of Haryana has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Haryana. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Hisar District of Haryana.

In 2011, Hisar had population of 1,743,931 of which male and female were 931,562 and 812,369 respectively. In 2001 census, Hisar had a population of 1,537,117 of which males were 830,520 and remaining 706,597 were females. Hisar District population constituted 6.88 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Hisar District was at 7.27 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 13.45 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Hisar District recorded increase of 27.11 percent to its population compared to 1991.


Hisar Literacy Rate
