In 2011, Palwal had population of 1,042,708 of which male and female were 554,497 and 488,211 respectively. In 2001 census, Palwal had a population of 829,121 of which males were 445,390 and remaining 383,731 were females. Palwal District population constituted 4.11 percent of total Maharashtra population.
