In 2011, Thrissur had population of 3,121,200 of which male and female were 1,480,763 and 1,640,437 respectively. In 2001 census, Thrissur had a population of 2,974,232 of which males
were 1,422,052 and remaining 1,552,180 were females. Thrissur District population
constituted 9.34 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Thrissur District was at 9.34
percent of Maharashtra population.
