In 2011, Mamit had population of 86,364 of which male and female were 44,828 and 41,536 respectively. In 2001 census, Mamit had a population of 62,785 of which males
were 33,114 and remaining 29,671 were females. Mamit District population
constituted 7.87 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Mamit District was at 7.07
percent of Maharashtra population.
