Korea (Koriya) District - Population 2011-2024

An official Census 2011 detail of Korea (Koriya), a district of Chhattisgarh has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Chhattisgarh. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Korea District of Chhattisgarh.

In 2011, Korea had population of 658,917 of which male and female were 334,737 and 324,180 respectively. In 2001 census, Korea had a population of 586,327 of which males were 301,251 and remaining 285,076 were females. Korea District population constituted 2.58 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Korea District was at 2.81 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 12.38 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Korea District recorded increase of 17.09 percent to its population compared to 1991.


Korea Literacy Rate

Average literacy rate of Korea in 2011 were 70.64 compared to 70.64 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 80.37 and 60.60 respectively. For 2001 census, same figures stood at 75.68 and 49.73 in Korea District. Total literate in Korea District were 397,823 of which male and female were 229,923 and 167,900 respectively. Korea Child Population

In census enumeration, data regarding child under 0-6 age were also collected for all districts including Korea. There were total 95,784 children under age of 0-6 against 100,269 of 2001 census. Of total 95,784 male and female were 48,666 and 47,118 respectively. Child Sex Ratio as per census 2011 was 968 compared to 970 of census 2001. In 2011, Children under 0-6 formed 14.54 percent of Korea District compared to 17.10 percent of 2001. There was net change of -2.56 percent in this compared to previous census of India.
