Birbhum District - Population 2011-2024

An official Census 2011 detail of Birbhum, a district of West Bengal has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in West Bengal. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Birbhum District of West Bengal.

In 2011, Birbhum had population of 3,502,404 of which male and female were 1,790,920 and 1,711,484 respectively. In 2001 census, Birbhum had a population of 3,015,422 of which males were 1,546,633 and remaining 1,468,789 were females. Birbhum District population constituted 3.84 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Birbhum District was at 3.76 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 16.15 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Birbhum District recorded increase of 17.99 percent to its population compared to 1991.


Birbhum Literacy Rate

Average literacy rate of Birbhum in 2011 were 70.68 compared to 70.68 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 76.92 and 64.14 respectively. Birbhum Child Population
