Other Religion Population in India
In addition to the major religions of Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Jainism and Buddhism, there are also several smaller religions and belief systems present in India. These include: Zoroastrianism: Zoroastrianism is a monotheistic religion that originated in ancient Persia. There is a small population of Zoroastrians in India, known as Parsis, who have lived in the country for over a thousand years and are concentrated primarily in the western state of Gujarat. Judaism: There is a small population of Jews in India, primarily located in the cities of Mumbai and Kolkata. Baha'i Faith: The Baha'i Faith is a monotheistic religion that originated in Persia in the 19th century. There is a growing Baha'i community in India. Other: There are also small populations of followers of various other religions and belief systems in India, including Confucianism, Taoism, and traditional animist religions.
